Publishing to Creo View format, Creo Parametric builds

We're moving (sometime......) from WF5 to Creo Parametric 3.0.

Our Windchill CAD Worker is currently set up with Creo Parametric 2.0.  We're being requested to see if this would work ok, at least for some time.  Reference - We rely completely on published viewables for all business use of Drawings, so it has to publish correctly every time.

Please comment on the advisability / expected problems of having a CAD Worker Creo installation at a release / build earlier than what Designers are checking in.

Build is one thing, release is another.  Creo 2 will not be able to open files saved in Creo 3 (once some users start using it).

Why not just get Creo 3 working on your CAD worker?  There certainly is no problem with this.
