Questions About the Handling Method for CASE Article - CS323888

Version: Windchill 11.2

 

CASE SUP: Article - CS323888 - Installing CPS18 requires Multi-Language Pack CD in staging area but it's not found on PTC's download page for Windchill PDMLink 11.0 M030

 

Use Case:

Currently, I am using the CPS22 version bundle for the installation process.

 

My test computer has never had any WindChill installed.

 

The path is set to D:\WindchillInstall.

 

The folder paths are as follows:

  • D:\WindchillInstall
  • D:\WindchillInstall\MED-61006-CD-110_M030_M030-CPS22-Bundle

I have tried downloading the following files and placing them in the specified path:

 

  • PTC Windchill Multi-Language Pack Version: 13-1-0-0
  • PTC Windchill Multi-Language Pack Version: 13-0-2-0
  • PTC Windchill 12.0 Multi-Language Pack Version: 12-0-2-20
  • PTC Windchill PDMLink 12.0 Version: 12-0-2-7

 

However, the installation process still cannot find the files.

 

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

 

Could it be due to a language translation problem, or is there something I am doing wrong?

PTC hasn't removed Windchill 11.0 from their software downloads yet.  It is the second one.

If the 11.0 Multi-Language Pack is not available to you from the PTC website, then you need to log a call with PTC to get access to it. 

Also, remove all other Multi-Language packs from your software staging area in case the installer defaults to the latest available during installation.

The list of downloads you provided in the description are for 12.0, 13.0, and 13.1.  When installing 11.0, you need the 11.0 Multi-Language Pack that matches the version requested by the PSI Installer "M030-CPS18".

    Could you please tell me which option I should click to download?
    I have tried downloading all versions of the Multi-Language Pack from the download page and putting them in my installation path, but the problem still occurs.
