Regarding Quantity for part a.prt in bom (wt part structure)

Dear sir

I have one doubt regarding wtpart structure and CAD assembly from creo.

I have one assembly in creo. Which have an repeatative part eg. screw a.prt ( with Qty:10).

Ii am creating the wtpart structure manually in windchill.

Then associating wtparts with checked in epm documents the cad files in windchill after is checked in.

so to get the quantity as 10 for part a.prt in bom (wt part structure).

Try to use Build associated part on a assembly model

This action should propagate all attributes to WTPart and build a structure,

This action can be run from Workspace or CommonSpace detail page action menu.

After using the above option, new version of associated part is generated. It does not help in changing Quantity.

That is correct behavior, the function modify the WTPart so it increase the iteration.

I see the issue.

The WTPart has been added to a structure manually and system do not change the quantity because it has been set by a user .

I advice to remove the WTPart from the structure and use the build associated part again.
