This post is to explain why you see some “republishing” activity on the Windchill forum.

During our recent migration, we needed to put the Community on read-only mode as part of the process to migrate the content to our new platform. We decided to leave the Windchill forum open.

During the read-only period, this forum received some engagement that we could not migrate properly. However, the content is not lost. We decided to republish it after the launch. Due to the constraints of the new platform, the format is unusual. Doing this will prevent a net loss of content while allowing users to pursue their conversations as needed.

2 use cases:

Topic started BEFORE the read only period. We will manually republish the posts shortly after the launch (copy / paste).

Caveat:

• These posts appear to be authored by the Community team.
• They bear the date of the re-publishing but will follow the same sequence.

To mitigate this problem, we are adding a disclaimer on each topic to explain the reasons for this. Please refer to the illustration below.
