"Save as new project" doesn't send out invitation emails for newly created project

We have a number of projects going on and in general I create new projects from a template that meets most of the criteria. I recently had a request to just duplicate existing projects so I thought "I can use "save as new project" to save myself some time". Everything worked well.... except that the newly created projects don't send out invitation emails and the users I did add to the projects can't access them at all. 

Is there a way around this or is it possible to turn something on to fix it?

Looks like this issue is already reported to PTC R&D through SPR#2880348 and which is fixed in Windchill X-26 (Windchill 11.0 M010). Here is SPR link for your reference.

I guess that answers that. We're transitioning to 11.1 in 3 weeks so I guess we can wait that long.
