Set date for release of end item.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.1 and Datecode with CPS 13.1.2.6 How to set a date for an end item. The date shall show when the end item is supposed to be released/ready for sale. Effectivity is for replacing existing objects, but can it also be used for initial launch of a product?

Why dont you just use an Attribute Date or string.

We have several dates for the products in attributes.

Here we’re talking about using the dates for releasing, withdrawals and setting obsolete, more or less, automatically with workflows.

We’re working on a customized solution with a workflow that will do the job! :)

There’s a lot of “IFs” that need to be considered and the business process is basically NOT well defined.

We’ll get around, eventually!
