Show Configurable Links in Part Structure

In the Part Structure tab, an user can select the Viewing panel --> Show --> Configurable Links, to show all of the configurable links (Revision, Describe, Reference, Master) of the Parts in the Structure.

This will improve user experience, will make it for users much easier to get insight and overview of all configurable links in a structure.

Currently it is only possible to see configurable links of a Part by selecting (every) Part in the Structure and go to (configured) ‘configurable link’ table on the right side of the Structure.

Cause Parts are continuously updated and because it is not possible to get insight, an overview on Part structure level on configurable links it is hard/cumbersome/error-prone to monitor/update the configurable links at the moment.

This is  an enhancement and even with custo not sure if possible  , as workaround we can create create an alias attribute and show them in PSB  https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS439129

Hi, thanks for your reply. An alias comes with limitations, it will return all the iterations .. Customization in this area is as far as I know not supported. We at Thales vote for a product enhancement (alike the Engineering Materials that was recently added by PTC).

I’d agree that there is room for improvement as we’re exploring configurable modules as well (see Enable Display of Assigned Expressions in BOM of Configurable Module comparing different Versions | Community).

Perhaps it would ease the evaluation and implementation if you could provide an example on what you’d like to see.
