Simple Java Question

Hi All,

Hopefully the answer is simple here. I have a user whom I believe has
responded to a Java Security dialog box from the Windchill UI with some
sort of negative response and is now not seeing all the icons for Create
Document, etc.

Is there an easy way to reverse this selection?

Thanks,

Ben

The Windchill security settings for a user are stored in
AppData/LocalLow/.wt under the user's profile directory.

The easiest way to resolve such issues is to remove the priv*.ser
file(s) under this directory.

That said, if this was a Java Plug-In security dialog box the user may
have said not to trust/launch the applet in question. I believe that
decision should go away when they start a new browser or OS login
session -- depending on what they selected.

This is a super simple tidbit.

When using FireFox In previous releases of Windchill one of my favourite
features was to use the right mouse on a search list and "Open In New
Tab". The Windchill 10 release now captures that event and gives you a
list of actions that can be performed. That is pretty cool, but I miss
my long list of tabs. Fortunately it has not gone away -
CTRL-Right-Mouse gets passed back to the browser directly so that the "
Open In New Tab" is still available.

Hi Bob, no one right clicks to open a new tab anymore! That's very 2010. Middle Click is all the rage with the kids these days 🙂
