I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030 I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.0 and Datecode with CPS M030 Title: SolidWorks Integration Issues: Workspace Directory Access Failure and WGM Version Mismatch Description: We are using Windchill Workgroup Manager (WGM) 11.0 M030 with Windchill 11.0 M030 on a Windows 10 client, integrating with SolidWorks 2016 SP5 x64. We are encountering two problems: When launching SolidWorks, WGM starts automatically in the background and fails with the error: "Failed to set the workspace local directory" . The log indicates that the folder C:\PTC\WFS\Workspace cannot be accessed。 “maybe it is locked by the PTC WFS Controller service. Despite the folder being locked by the service, WGM is unable to use it properly, causing the initialization to fail." Although we installed WGM 11.0 M030, the SolidWorks add-in shows its version as "PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager 11.0 M010". Here are the errors that I faced 2026-07-30T08:26:36.788Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: setDefaultFolder parameters------------------------- 2026-07-30T08:26:36.788Z: X: T1a80: uwgmapp.cipbcp_clnt.cipbcp_srv: CIP BCP Server created 2026-07-30T08:26:36.788Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp.cipbcp_clnt.cipbcp_srv: UWGM_ADAPTER: C:\PTC\WFS\Workspace 2026-07-30T08:26:36.788Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uWGMCADSystemSolidWorksHelper setDialogDefaultDirectory ENTER 1785399996788 2026-07-30T08:26:36.788Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed CADSystemSolidWorks setWorkingDirectory ENTER 1785399996788 2026-07-30T08:26:36.791Z: W: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: CADSystemSolidWorks::setWorkingDirectory called with "C:\PTC\WFS\Workspace\" failed. 2026-07-30T08:26:36.791Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed CADSystemSolidWorks setWorkingDirectory EXIT 1785399996791 2026-07-30T08:26:36.791Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: uWGMCADSystemHelper::isLibraryLocationValid: toolbox is not properly set by user 2026-07-30T08:26:36.791Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClientHandler getClientConnected ENTER 1785399996791 2026-07-30T08:26:36.791Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClientHandler getClientConnected EXIT 1785399996791 2026-07-30T08:26:36.791Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClient_X12 getCommonspaceWFSFolder ENTER 1785399996791 2026-07-30T08:26:37.037Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: getCommonspaceWFSFolder: returning commonspace directory to be "C:\PTC\WFS\Commonspace" 2026-07-30T08:26:37.037Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClient_X12 getCommonspaceWFSFolder EXIT 1785399997037 2026-07-30T08:26:37.037Z: E: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: CADSystemSolidWorks::setToolboxLocation: toolbox is not properly set by user 2026-07-30T08:26:37.038Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uWGMCADSystemSolidWorksHelper setDialogDefaultDirectory EXIT 1785399997038 2026-07-30T08:26:37.038Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClientHandler getClientConnected ENTER 1785399997038 2026-07-30T08:26:37.038Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClientHandler getClientConnected EXIT 1785399997038 2026-07-30T08:26:37.038Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClient_X12 showMessage ENTER 1785399997038 2026-07-30T08:26:37.162Z: I: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: idle Icubed uwgmClient_X12 showMessage EXIT 1785399997162 2026-07-30T08:26:37.164Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp: UWGM_ADAPTER: setDefaultDirectory exception------------------------- 2026-07-30T08:26:37.165Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp.cipbcp_clnt.cipbcp_srv: UWGM_ADAPTER: appadapter_x12::XAA 2026-07-30T08:26:37.165Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp.cipbcp_clnt.cipbcp_srv: UWGM_ADAPTER: { 2026-07-30T08:26:37.165Z: D: T1a80: uwgmapp.cipbcp_clnt.cipbcp_srv: UWGM_ADAPTER: Description : "Failed to set the workspace local directory"

Do you have any environment variable specified to set your workspace, wfs and root locations?

Is your current location some other type of shared drive (like OneDrive)?
