Question

Substances of Concern In articles, as such or in complex objects (Products) (SCIP)?

SCIP is an EU initiative requiring registration of products (articles) in a database accessible by the public to disclose of the presence of certain hazardous chemicals (aka SVHCs) within those products.

Is anyone using Windchill to achieve this?

No sorry, as you can see there was no response here and we have gone down the "home grown" route. I have not been part of the project so cannot offer any more insight.

Have you looked at the SiliconExpert Connector in the Windchill Extension Center?

Submissions should have been made by now, so I thought I would ask the question again and also how are companies keeping the data up to date?

Our partner Assent Compliance has a robust SCIP submissions dashboard. Today we offer an integration between Windchill and Assent Compliance (see attached).

Please note: we do not support the SCIP on the Windchill side today but can be accessed through Assent Compliance Manager which can be launched from Windchill.
