Question

Switching numbering uniqueness from organization to site level

Our windchill is installed with organization level uniqueness which is not preventing the creation of duplicates parts across organization product or library contexts. The initial installation was from years ago i.e WC 9 environment and we are at 12.1 now moving to 13.1. PTC TS saying it is not possible to switch uniqueness settings from org to site as part of upgrade, it seems the switch was possible until 12.1 during WC upgrade cycles.

 

Let me know if anyone found a non-customization solution to switch the uniqueness setting so that we can avoid users creating duplicate parts/docs/epms
