Team Membership

Hi, I work for the Customer that have in local team User defined Group that updates daily (security reasons). From what I noticed not having Members as listed Users causing some deficiency in tool performance e.g. they cannot use discusion. What other limitation can I expect in this scenarion? Can you suggest some solutions please.
