    I’d like to recommend to bring more details and context to your initial inquiry. For example:

    • Does the memory issue occur with all thumbnails or only specific file types or sizes?
    • Are there any custom thumbnail generation settings or scripts in use?
    • Is the issue reproducible on demand, or does it happen intermittently?

    Please add screenshot(s) to better understand what you are trying to do in your process.

    Thank you for your response and helpful guidance.

    To provide more details, the memory issue occurs specifically when generating thumbnails for certain CAD files. As shown in the attached screenshot, the pvsthumb.exe process consumes an excessive amount of memory during thumbnail generation, eventually leading to a Windchill server shutdown.

    This issue appears to be isolated to specific CAD files, rather than occurring system-wide. We suspect that it may be related to the complexity or size of the CAD models involved.

    Could you please advise on how to address this issue? For example:

    • Is it possible to limit the memory usage of pvsthumb.exe?

    • Are there any best practices for generating thumbnails from large or complex CAD files?
