To disable both subscription and workflow notifications for an individual user who does not require them

Subscription and workflow notifications are triggered based on the configuration created.
If the notification is configured at the user level, it can always be removed for that specific user.
However, if the notification is configured for a group or role, it is expected that all users belonging to that group or role will receive the notification.
Could you please explain the exact use case you are referring to?
