Upgrading PDMLink 11.1 M020(CPS19) to 12.0.2 - Directory Server Question

We have started the process on a test/dev server of upgrading from PDMLink 11.1 M020(CPS19) to 12.0.2.0. Now that WindchillDS is no longer part of the install package, how did you handle the upgrade process? Did you migrate to an approved DS before upgrading, or did you use the existing 11.1 DS? Or did you have to install a new standalone 11.1 DS? Any help is most appreciated!

Hello,

 

I would recommend to use 11.1 DS , upgrade to 12.0.2. After upgrade take a task to migrate DS to supported DS. PTC is recommended the same. 

 

We took totally different approach. We upgrade to 12.0.0.3 using 11 DS. Now we are trying to update to 12.0.2 and then we will migrate to supported DS.

    We also used the version of WindchillDS that comes with 11.2 per CS337415.  At this point I don't see any compelling reason to find a replacement.

      Were you guys at 11.2 or did you just use the standalone 11.2 WindchillDS? Thanks!
