User can't do Revise, it's grayed out

Version: Windchill 11.1

Use Case: I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 11.1 and Datecode with CPS M020-CPS02

Description:

After restart the server, user can't do revise. revise not listed on action and grayed out on structure tab.

The case is usually cased by ACL rules or missing revision transition in the life cycle template

So the user is not part of the group/role that grants the access to use the revision.

or the state of object has been changed to the state where is not the revision transaction (or LC template change can case it)

Your Windchill administrator should help you to solve the issue.

add user to correct role, profile, or add appropriate ACL rule or check lifecycle template and its configuration..

It could also be caused by a profile setting that has turned off Revise.
