Username and password combination entered is not valid.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.8

Users encountered the error message "Username and password combination entered is not valid" while attempting to complete tasks.

Here are the errors that I faced
Username and password combination entered is not valid.

    Is the user positive they entered the correct combination. Password is case sensative.

    Are you using a corporate LDAP or a standalone Windchill LDAP?

    If standalone, reset their password and have them try again.

    Hello pplmoperations,

    I'm Charles from PTC Technical Support in Europe, I will provide you assistance on this question.

    Can you try the following:

    Copy password to Windows clipboard and the login to Windchill using 'paste' for the password: guess it should work

    Then try to complete workflow task using 'paste' again so to make sure the same password as above is being used.

    What is the behavior then?
