I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.0 The document creation date needs to be displayed in the template. However, when I insert the attribute using the Windchill add-in in Word, the date shown is different from the actual creation date. For example, for a document created today, the value displayed for the creation date attribute shows an older date.

In 12.1.2.5, looks like adding from “Quick Parts - DocProperty - Field - Created On” shows the creation date of the first iteration of the revision in question. For example, if you added it for B.3, you’ll have B.1’s creation date. It’s not entirely wrong, when thinking about it, but confusing.

The same comes from menu Windchill - Insert.

Doc CreatedAt could be the creation date of the template.

“Quick Parts - Document Property - Publish Date” looks interesting.
