Windchill/Intralink Future? (not PdmLink)

Has it been suggested to anyone else that Intralink 10.x will potentially be going away? My testing of XPLM's EC has not been panning out so I'm considering my other options. We have an active maintenance contract so the cost to upgrade to Windchill\Intralink would be relativley low compared to upgrading to Windchill\PdmLink. Our PTC rep seems to be trying to put the scare into us where soon PTC may stop supporting Windchill\Intralink leaving us to have to upgrade anyways to PdmLink later with wasting money now?
