Hello, my problem is not about mathcad, it's about windchill, but the training assistant asked me to open a mathcad issue. Here is our email exchange about our problem :

-------------------------------------

Hello,

I would like to ask you about a probleme occuring on the windchill Paloma, while wanting to create a manufacturing view of an article, we have an error massage, so impossible to create the view even if the state is correct.

Do you know what can be some possible reasons to this kind of probleme ?

Thank you,

-------------------------------

We are not sure what the following means - windchill Paloma- we are guessing this is a specific version of WC, but the actual version number would be more helpful.

Manufacturing view of an article – What does “article” mean here? Is this an eBOM?

What, exactly, is the error message? Please send screen shots. “

Best regards,

PTC University Support

----------------------------------------------

We are actualy on Windchill 10.2, on the aplication we have articles, witch correspond to Parts, initialy they are in Design view, and we can create a Manufacturing view from them.

Our problem is that we can’t create a manufacturing view from one of those parts, the error message is « manufacturing view already exist for this article ».

We saw that a manufacturing view had existed for this one, but someone deleted it from the data base, but the links are still existing, our analyse is that windchill still frind liks to a non existing part, so het thinks that the part is still there.

Can you tell me how is it possible to remove all those remaining links or if you see any other solution to this problem ?

Hi Adam,
We recommend that you attempt to enter the support ticket vis Mathcad and then specify Windchill once someone reaches out to you. I wish I could offer more help – we work primarily with training support on this end.

Hello,

Try to open the problematic part in the BOM Transformer, it should appear on the left side of the tool.
Then try to see if anything appears in the equivalence tab in the lower part of the screen while having the part selected. From there, if you see the old deleted equivalence part, you might be able to delete the link. If not, it's likely to be corrected in the database, so i would suggest to open a formal support case at PTC support to get assistance doing so.
