Windchill reporting - leaving out weekend days

An xsl post processor might do the job, provided that your query gives the starting and end dates. But then you need an xsl programmer to developa "working days time difference" function. Examples offunctions that deal with date and time are available on the web, eg : http://www.xsltfunctions.com/xsl/.

This post processor would be shared by all your queries, so it would have to be developped only once.

We now have many query builder reports in use, for both work in process and completed work, which include calculations of the time taken to complete various activities or to move from one state to another - and this is working very well. In general, we're using the standard function: Time Difference (days).

We've been challenged by management to modify all these reports to show only working days (leave out Sat / Sun). In Excel, you can do this easily and this what we have been doing forever, and reporting based on this. In Oracle you can also do this easily in a similar way with a custom function. Tech Support advised us that there is no way to exposea custom database function in the Windchill query builder UI.

We think maybe Cognos BImay provide away tofurther process QB output in this way.

Anyone else doing this? Any suggestions?
