Windchill slow

Hi i am facing windchill hanging (slow) in the pro-e for refreshing its taking 1 hour.

Currently i am using Pro-e wildfire 4.0 64 bit

and OS windows XP.

Please can anyone help on this.

When is it hanging up? During a workspace refresh, adding to workspace, etc...

How many objects do you have in your workspace?

Are you at a remote site?

All of these things can make a difference with performance.

During the workspace refreshing its hanging up and I have 2300 objects in the particular workspace.

I am not in remote in site.

Is their any chances of the graphic card or system configuration related,

(My System information:

HP Z400, 12 GB RAM, 1TB hard disk,

Graphic card Nvidia Quadro 2000, OS windows XP 64 bit).

Good luck. We've been strugling with this since implementation.

We have HP z620 machines with 32GB RAM and gigabit connections and it has no effect. The problem is entirely with the communication between Pro/E and Windchill.

There are columns that add more time than others, such as Compare Status. However, if you need to see the Compare Status, you're stuck.

You really need to get a 3rd party to analyze your Windchill system and performance tune it. I'd suggest Tristar, Fishbowl or Datafrond. PTC will be no help at all.

We've gotten our refresh time down to about 30 seconds for ~2500 objects, which is still unacceptable in my opinion.
