Windchill-Solidworks Mass Attribute Data - Quantity of Measure Inconsistent

Following on from a number of articles a few years ago (CS258281, WGM Solidworks: Mass Properties not mapped to Windchill | Community, etc) and the PTC docs for mapping Solidworks mass properties to Windchill global attributes (CS258281)

I have created all the mass properties as global attributes as real numbers with units.

The example I will show is the mass, which has the standard QOM of Mass.

Not sure where I am going wrong - I have tried to ensure names are identical everywhere.

Error:

“Mass” property in Solidworks Custom Properties tab:

Global Reusable Attribute:

Attributes table from EPM CAD document Type Management

could be your mass data type in SW is “text” you would need to match that in Windchill or vicea versa

or have a look here https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS455897

Hey thanks for the article link; struggled to find that.

Your comment was very helpful, as I realised Solidworks stores “Mass” as text, and the numeric version is “SW-Mass”

However, that doesn’t work either seemingly, but when I do use it the other values populate

Could this be the problem?
For mass properties to be displayed properly for SolidWorks configurations, each instance needs to be opened separately and saved explicitly.

What does your Solidworks mass mapping looking like in Type Attributes?
