Windchill SSO setup with PingOne as IdP

Our Windchill PDMLink is currently using ADFS for the SSO.  But our company is switching from the ADFS to PingOne (or Ping Identity) to be the new IdP serving the SSO.

Has anyone of you are using the same PingOne or PingID for your Windchill SSO authentication?

 

I have opened the TS case to PTC, but they said they have no experience with it.  This is odd, as PingID is very popular and commonly used in the industry.

Not surprised on the response from PTC 🤣 

Looks like you would just add a SAML application in your PingOne interface. I don't have personal experience using PingOne - but considering PingFederate supports SAML, Oauth, OIDC etc... I would find it hard to believe you couldn't do it.
