Windhchill 12.1.2 installation, PSI installer with Windchill 11.1 empty schema ? any workaround ?

Version: Windchill 12.1

 

Use Case: During Windhchill 12.1.2 installation in PSI installer we are picking Windchill 11.1 empty DB schema, But it is failing at data loading stage at 63 % progress. kindly suggest some workaround. do we neeed to alter the windchill 11.1 DB schema to fit with windchill 12.1.2 please guide.

Is there a typo here? Why are we using 12.1.2 with an 11.1 schema? Can you confirm you are doing a base new install of Windchill 12.1.2? If so, I typically do installs against an empty database, no schema, just a user account. The PSI can build the schema that is aligned to the Windchill version. It should have no tables or views present when you start the install.

Have you looked at the error log file:

<Windchill_HOME>/installer/logs/xxxx_WindchillLoader_error.log

 

One possibility is the method server not starting. See reference PTC KB:
