Work Center - Ability to have multiple machine setup information

Version: Windchill 12.1

Use Case: We might have a requirement that will necessitate us to model the various machine setups of a machine , and use them for the operation as applicable, in the process plan.

Description:

Apparently, this requirement could be solutioned in many ways. for eg., 

1. Use "Configurable Work Center" and use Set up variables captured as Option > Choices, then use the parameters of the process / requirements to give the setup required.

2. Use Classification for the work center and pre create the instances of the work centers, with those values.

3. Others

It depends on the number of parameter variables and complexity, which I am yet to see the data.

Wanted to hear from you experts on if you had come across such use cases and how was it solutioned.

Even before that, I hope that Work center object can work as configurable item. Correct?
