Workspace Save As with New CAD Document

Using PDMLink 10.0 and Wildfire 4.
Using the Pro/E embedded browser. Trying to perform a Workspace Save As on a new Pro/E drawing. The collector says the drawing and dependent part are "Error: Invalid object type for Save As".
Workspace status for the drawing and dependent part is New.
Is there a preference, OIR, etc. that is blocking Workspace Save As?
