There are multiple ways to achieve this,
    1. Customize the Auto-Association Logic: If you are following the CAD-centric approach, where a new WTPart is always created during auto-association, you can customize the AutoAssociatePartFinderCreator class to set the WTPart attribute value based on the CAD Document name.
    2. Use a Listener: Implement a listener to update the WTPart attribute value after the link between the CAD Document and WTPart is created.
    3. Use a Business Rule: Configure a business rule to validate the source attribute when releasing the CAD Document. If the user has not manually updated the source attribute, the rule can prompt the user to update it.

This may require a custom listener to do the job

    Hi @AP_10312699,

Your post heading refers to the WTPart source attribute, but your description mentions checking in the CAD Part.
Could you please confirm whether your requirement is to validate that the linked WTPart's source attribute is set to Buy during CAD Part check in when the CAD Part name starts with XYZ?
