Add extra step to CAD Document creation wizard

Hello

I am facing a problem that I have no idea how to solve.

 

Use case:

Under Workspace when the user creates a new CAD Document, there is a possibility to associate a part on creation. If the “Create and Associate Part ” is checked on CAD Document creation, an extra step should be implemented where the associated part attributes can be filled. (This way the user don’t need to find the created part and fill its attributes separately after CAD Document creation.)

 

Could you suggest me a way to solve this issue?

Windchill version is 10.2 M030.

Hello,

 

There is no way to achieve this. The workaround is to use "Create New Part" first and check create CAD Document.

You can add kudo to this idea:

Select the soft-type of the part when "Create and Associate Part" is checked upon "New CAD Document"

Ok, so we are facing the same problem. 

I think the solution can be achieved by wizard customization, but I am not experienced enough to solve the problem.

I am waiting for someone who could help me with customization.

The thing is that actions in the workspace are not JCA, hence it's hard to customize.
Anyway, I'd be interested if you find a way.
