Customize Table Views

Under a custom tab I have created on a part, I have included the "Part Instances" table (accessed via the "Customize" button when the tab is selected > General). I would like to include a custom attribute in this table view to compare the attribute value against all part instances included in the table. Does anybody know if this is possible?

This could be achieved through a java customization using tabelBuilder and custom table view.
