Document Version Validation in Part Structure

Hi All,

I have a part structure where there is one document added twice to that part structure with two different versions. Likewise If Part A is an End Item I have Document A added to the part A and Document A has got a version of 2.1. However the same Document A has been added once again to the structure where it has a version of 1.1.

So within a part structure there is one single document with multiple versions. Now I wish to validate the part structure and display a message(Like a dialog box or a error box) to the user stating that a previous version of Document is there in the part structure and it should be updated with that of the most recent version. How can I be achieving it. Can someone please let me know about it
