Equipment and PM tracking in Windchill

I have an odd one for the gurus here: has anyone ever tried to track equipment maintenance and calibration in Windchill?  If so, how hard was it to set up initially?  Any suggestions/recommendations?

I am looking at trying to replicate some of the basic functionality of Benchmate CMMS in Windchill so we can track the equipment, its maintenance, and any calibration/certification paperwork all in one system.  Really, all we want to do besides store/link the documents is to generate a PM document we can track with a due date of when the next required PM is.  This way, running a report listing PM objects that are incomplete would show us what is due and when.
