Hi,

Both Advance Expression in Options & Variants and Advance Selection Logic have conditional logic that could be defined.

How do both stand to differentiate?

What could be the key factors which separate each other?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

D

Here is a short summary of the advanced selection logic:

With the advanced selection logic you can do the following that you can’t do with O&V:
- Create a configurable structure supporting Configure to Order strategy
- The logic allows to create a Windchill part if it doesn’t exist, you don’t need to have a 150% BOM.
- You can define Parameter and case table constraint
- You can drive the number of occurrences of a component with the logic
- You can drive the selection of a component by a parameter
- You can combine option and variant and advanced selection logic
- Generate product variants

hope this help to understand the differences with O&V.
