How to customize Filters?

Hello together,

I have the task to find out if it is possible to add a new filter for parts as customization/plugin.

I worked myself through the custumization document, but coudn't find out with that.

Can you give me a hint where to start.

I've created a document that covers creating simple validation filters for actions.  It includes an example that does filtering based on characteristics of a part.  Take a look at Creating simple validation filters.pdf‌ and let me know if you have any additional questions.
