How to reassign new lifecycle state

I have added 2 new states in Site >> Utilities >> Type and Attribute Management >> Customize Modeled Enumerations and after adding it to Site>>Utilities>> Lifecycle Template Adminitstration>> TKEPartLC, the new lifecycle is still not visible when I do reassign lifecycle for a given tkePart in windchill. It still shows the old lifecycle of TKEPartLC.

Do you get any error/warning  in logs when reassigning LC

How did you do it? 

Have you really reassigned the LC correctly? do you see the lifecycle template change in the Lifecycle history on the object?

the number is a template iteration.

Also check that you don't have another life cycle template with the same name at a lower level (Organization or Product/Library).
