Is it possible to designate a Cable feature parameter to appear in created WTPart parameter list?

I have created and designated a few feature parameters for a Cable, the Windchill WTPart is set to accept these parameters, the Cables have been designated via Model Intent > Designate, and WTParts get created for the cables upon check-in, but the WTPart parameters don't get populated with the designated feature parameter values.

Has anyone had any luck with this?
