Question

Need to add custom column in the WhereUsed Table

Hello Experts,

 

I need to add a custom column in the WhereUsed Table of the part details(Whereused Tab).

I tried to extend the WhereUsedTreeBuilder class but its not working.

I am using Windchill 13.

    You should check what builder is really used. 

    in my case the where used table builder for WTParts  is com.ptc.windchill.enterprise.object.mvc.builders.WhereUsedMultiTreeBuilder

    also you have to use @OverrideComponentBuilder

    @OverrideComponentBuilderpublic class CustomWhereUsedOwnBuilder extends WhereUsedMultiTreeBuilder{ …

    The problem is probably not the code; rather, if you change the current table, you need to delete the view and the descriptor first from the database.


    Delete from pdmlink.TableViewDescriptor where tableId='whereUsed.view';
    Delete from pdmlink.ActiveViewLink where tableId='whereUsed.view';

    create a backup before deleting it. You don’t need to restart the system, just reload the page and the table view will be created again.
