Unable to see Codebeamer Server in Windchill Add Traces

Version: Windchill 12.1

 

Use Case: Trying to connect Windchill PLM to Codebeamer via Digital Product Traceability (DPT) Following: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS400634


Description:

From Windchill go to Part, show Traced To tab, click on plus icon, unable to see any server on the drop-down:

By the way, I'm not setting SSL on any server, only thingworx flow was set to https by default during its installation(not sure why).

    Hi @tarik_p 

    The SSL is required for the thingworx. 

    It could be same for codebeamer. 

    Security rules are more strict and ssl communication is a standard for many companies. 

     

    You can try to add the codebeamer server to some whitelist in the windchill and same in the codebeamer 

    Iam not sure if it can help it is just idea.

    Thanks @HelesicPetr, I would like to know whether the SSL is required on all three servers for OSLC, it's not a security question because this is my own test vm.

    Good question, I do not know the answer. 
    I just know that the Thingworx integration and SSO with Windchill and requires the ssl connection from some specific version.

    Without ssl it does not work. so I would expect that others systems would also need the ssl connection..
