When adding a new member to a Product a join invitation is not sent

When a new member is added to a Project an invitation to join email is sent to the new member person.

 

When a new member is added to a Product no invitation email is sent. Is there a way to switch this functionality on so that new Product members recieve an invitation to join email?

You don't join Products like you do Projects.  The user is automatically part of the Product when they are given access to a Product.

    As far as understand and as @BrianToussaint mentioned below this behavior is not applicable to Product team.

    Only Project invitations are sent out to user when added to project team.

    Thanks for the information.

     

    I accept that it doesn't email automatically when you add someone to a Product, I just believe this should be an option rather than having to send out manual emails to all participants when they are added to a product.

     

    I presume this would be an easy upgrade for PTC?
