Do we need Thingworx Navigate license to use ODataConnector

Hi Community,

 

Do we need a Thingworx Navigate license to use ODataConnector to connect with PTC Windchill System?

If you make a connector from that template it will not require the user have a Navigate license to use it.

When Navigate is installed and configured the OOTB OData connector is created and configured, it will not exist OOTB without installation of Navigate, and in order to install Navigate you do need proper licenses.  However, ThingWorx alone does allow you to create Integration connectors (Integration Connectors (ptc.com)) including an OData connector if you choose.  

 

So If I understand correctly the short answer to your question would be, if you are asking about the OOTB OData connector which is created with Navigate, then yes, you need Navigate licenses.  If you want to create your own connector/make a copy of some existing one then you do not need a Navigate specific license in order to execute services for the connector.
