Question

For implementing the SSO for thingworx do we need Pingfederate mandatory?

Hi,

I am installing Thingworx Navigate 9.2 and windchill in Azure cloud and also need to implement SSO. Do I need Pingfederate for this to achieve SSO or just with Azure AD is enough.

Hello,

 

From https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS357703 it is not officially supported to get rid of Ping Federate as CAS when configuring SSO.

But it should work with Azure AD as CAS and IdP for Windchill and Thingworx. See CS390227 for Authorization configuration between Windchill and Azure AD.
