9.1 vs 10.2 Change in list views in embedded browser

Looking at the differences in 10.2 and 9.1.
I'm wondering how folks handle this or if there is a setting to change this behavior.
Appears there is a 2000 item limit to a table view in the embedded browser in 10.2.

Picking this next at the bottom of the window

Then you will see Previous and Next, but no indication of how many pages of information there is.

9.1 you see this:

I can always pick full list to get a scrollable list.
