About Pro/ENGINEER Files (Character file names)

Dear all,

I have a question about file names in Pro/E.

Is it possible if character name limit more than 31 character?

I was read in Pro/E help,thats not possible. Any other solution for this?

    Hi,

    as I know there is no workaround. When you create a new part and you want to enter the filename the input box for the name doesn't accept more characters. Also if a name is too long (e.g. STEP-Files, manually renamed in windows, ...) Pro/E can't find the file.
