Adding dimension to family table

I've created a family table with different instances and I would like to add a dimension to the table.

But how do I add a dimension, thats been created in an instance, to the family table created in the generic?

Welcome to the forum!

Can you make that feature of the part or component active in the generic part? (Typically something added in an instance and not in the generic comes into the generic as suppressed.)

Once unsuppressed, go to Tools, Family Table. Select add a column. Select dimension. Click on the feature and select the dimension that you was to add. Then select OK to get back to the generic.

If you want the part/feature to be suppressed in the generic, select it from the tree of the generic and suppress it.

    Dale is right!

    If the generic model fails and gets into resolve mode, when resuming the feature with the dimension, you can clip suppress all following until you selected the dimension and suppressed the feature again. Then it should be possible to resume the temporarily suppressed features again.

    You can also use insert mode before resuming the feature (of course the Insert arrow needs to be placed with least one resumed feature after the to-be-resumed one).

    Since Creo Parametric by default failed features do not open resolve mode, so you can simply go ahead ignoring them.
