Annoying DATUM DISPLAY FILTERS Dropdown

🙂 PTC should have a bug fix on this. Not a bug I guess, but would be so enjoyable to navigate flawlessly.

OK! to the point: Once the drop down - select option (Check box) - I have to click out side for it to go. - I would recommend PTC to do the same with scroll function. Scroll does not work when the window dropdown is showing. It is a small thing but annoys me 50 times minimum in a day. This a great example about how a smallest thing can ruin for overall passion and productivity.

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

Thank for taking your time to read and pl let me know your thoughts.

I added datum planes and axis to my quick tool bar so I don't have to go to that drop down

Holly Cow.... Why didn't I think about that simple trick. ? Thanks.

Focusing on complex keeps your mind off simplest things. Knew...but Never thought of to do. First thing!!!

I rarely turn the filters off.  Everything is on ruled layers and if I need to see something I either unhide the layer or unhide the specific datum in the tree.

As for the scroll function, I wouldn't consider it a bug.  When a dropdown is open, the program is focused on the dropdown.  If there is a scroll on the dropdown, I would expect scroll to move the dropdown scroll.

I am sure I could list many things for every program I use that are a bit annoying.  But I prefer to use learn how the program works and use it as designed.  I will make an improvement suggestion if something is annoying enough and be very happy if it gets implemented.  For Creo, the place for suggestions is: Creo Parametric Ideas - PTC Community  I have offered several suggestions with a couple implemented.

There is always more to learn.

We have so much legacy data, layers just don't work right for us. Anything created for the last several years have mostly followed good layer practices but I use stuff created 25+ years ago that hasn't been updated in a good while and when updated, there is no guarantee layers are updated, it's not required, only recommended. I gave up years ago. I just use the master display toggle.

Many years ago, I was big on pushing for drawings to open correctly displayed no matter what "settings" any given user had in their config.
