Hi,

I'm looking for a solution to predefine a varied item (dimension) for a components.

I would like all the time when this componets it's assemble to set a value for the varied item.

http://www.ptc.com/appserver/wcms/standards/textmultitextimg.jsp?&im_dbkey=13764&icg_dbkey=382http://www.ptc.com/appserver/wcms/standards/textmultitextimg.jsp?&im_dbkey=13764&icg_dbkey=382

based on previous link PTC is saying that varied items can be predefined in parts or assemblies and each time when are assembled the definition can be reused.

Somebody knows how to preset in a component a varied item?

Thx

For a part go to File, Properties, Flexibility, change, highlight the feature that contains the dimension you want to vary, pick it, and select the plus sign to add the dimension as flexible. When the part is chosen for assembly you will be prompted whether to make the part flexible.
