Assembly STEP files

I am using the WF2 Save As option to save an assembly as a single file .stp file. I have several other assemblies as components in this assembly.

Step_config.pro settings are:

EXPORT_3D_FORCE_DEFAULT_NAMING NO
STEP_EXPORT_FORMAT AP214_CD

When I open the step file in ProE, the model names have an _asm and _1 added to them. Is there a setting to keep the original model names without the _asm and _1?

hi,

Try setting the EXPORT_3D_FORCE_DEFAULT_NAMING option to yes as the desc of that option says it should leave default model names.

The thing is it still does leave sufixes so maybe the option is broken.
