bend count parameter or similar

I'm looking for a away to automatically record the number bends on a sheetmetal part with the intention of referencing it in the drawing. I don't know of any parameters that report a bend count or any other ways of tracking it outside of a manual input. I'd like to stay as far from manual input as possible and rather implement a solution that updates if the part is changed. Any help, suggestions, or ideas would be appreciated.
