BRAVO, PTC
For as much griping there is on this group, I have to send a shout out to
PTC on this one.
I had a hinge that I had to delete from my assembly. The hinge is attached
to the body & the door by bolts, nuts & there are reinforcement plates
behind it. All of these pieces of hardware are assembled to (ie, children
of) the hinge, and are in a group, with all the other hinges' hardware. I
dragged the hinge down through the model tree to the group called
"hinge-hardware" and expected the drag to stop me there and indicate that I
couldn't drag it past the group containing its children. Instead, it pulled
the children out of the group and dragged them along with the hinge, so at
the bottom of the tree I had the hinge and all of its associated hardware in
one place for easy deletion. I don't know how long this functionality was
in there (we're on WF3), but I just discovered it, and it is awesome.
