Question

color appearance file

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use a color.dmt file from a co-worker. My understanding of how Pro/E handles colors is the following:

Color.map - defines the colors available for shading my models (config.pro option available)
syscol.scl - defines the system colors available for things like datum curves, text, planes, points etc. (config.pro option available)
appearance.dmt - defines appearance of colors for "metallic colored" shaded models ?? (can't find a config.pro option)

I can manually load his color.dmt file and then all is good, but it's a pain to have to load it each time.
How can I make use of the co-worker's colors in my default startup?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

If the color.dmt file you've got from your coworker is valid, just rename it to appearance.dmt and place it in your OS startup directory. Pro/E will load it automatically.
